Gordon has over 30 years of diverse experience in financial services spanning both traditional finance & crypto, tokens & distributed ledger technology (blockchain).
He has worked at banks (including RBS), asset managers, financial markets infrastructure firms and distributed ledger technology / blockchain / crypto start-ups. His roles have included trading, product, operations, risk management & finance.
Most recently, he was CFO/COO of a FinTech financial markets infrastructure start-up using distributed ledger technology. He has previously been Head of Financial Risk at London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) and held several senior positions at LCH, namely COO & Head of Business Risk at SwapClear & Head of Business Risk at RepoClear. He has extensive experience of analysing regulations and of regulatory applications including direct authorisation of a CCP. His experience of regulatory interaction includes meetings with the Bank of England, CFTC and presenting to global regulators including the Federal Reserve Bank. Prior to LCH, Gordon was COO of an asset manager offering both UCITS & hedge fund products.
Additionally, Gordon has a strong track record of delivering, enhancing and automating operations and risk management processes, and managing operations and risk management teams.
Gordon holds a Physics Degree from University of Bristol.
